From Yu Xiuhua's poem, "What I Once Opened Has Not Yet Closed."
Occasionally, I think of you. Like this evening,
As I eat a bowl of cold rice in the kitchen, I inexplicably think of you.
In that instant, tears fall like rain.

In My Father's Rock series, Shi Jin-Hua profoundly understood the myriad emotions his father felt while contemplating his inherited stone collection. He transformed years of accumulated dust from these stones into a unique pigment. His abstract brushwork not only materializes profound emotions but also makes the works a vehicle for landscape philosophy and a most heartfelt remembrance of his late father.
